Those dog days of summer have come and gone…
The nightly temps are dropping as well…
Daily highs are drooping ever lower…
I popped open a trunk of sweaters and jackets…
Found the one you loved so much…
It brought out the color in my eyes or so you said…
I picked it up and for a moment I could smell your scent…
As well as a hint of smoke and apple pies baking…
It was just my heart wanting you here with me…
Farmers Almanac is saying one thing…
The weather lady, another…
All the wooly tails are sporting a heavier coat…
So we are in for another real cold winter…
And yes I still miss those cold feet…
Waking me up during the night…
The kids wanted to know if I wanted turkey or ham…
As always I want both…
Still doing my soups…
The great grands have started to enjoy them…
We had a good crop from the garden this year…
Lots and lots of baby chicks again this year…
Well my love I will stop for now…
Drop you another line tomorrow…
Sheik is expecting another litter….
